At the end of August, at the Olympia Group facilities of Piove di Sacco (PD), headquarters of the brand SCAPIN, a prototype of the SCAPIN 2015 bike range, named SPEKTRO was stolen.
The SPEKTRO is a top of the range XC bike, due to be officially presented at the EXPOBICI fair in PADUA on 20th September. There is currently no similar model on the market!
The stolen SPEKTRO bike frame was a prototype not suitable for sale or use by the final client. In fact it was made for use by the Scapin technical engineers to conduct rigorous fatigue and field tests and trials. The FSA 2015 components mounted on the bikes were also prototypes. The SLK MTB 29 wheels in particular were subject to testing and were in no way finalised, therefore unsuitable for use by the final client.
We are informing you of this matter to ensure consumer safety and ask you to please forward this information to all bike retailers and others who may be involved. It is highly likely that the sale of this bike or its frame will be attempted unofficially. Never purchase Scapin products through these channels and please notify us immediately if you hear of any such products being offered in this way.
Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Please find below the specifications of the bike.
